A Million Esthers Breaking Witchcraft & Shifting Nations with Lou Engle

By | Revival, The Prophetic | No Comments

As a pastor in New York City, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing extraordinary moves of God in recent years. But nothing could have prepared me for the profound encounter I recently had with prophetic voice Lou Engle. Our conversation revealed a divine convergence of spiritual streams that I believe will shape the future of our nation. In this blog post, I’ll share the key insights from our dialogue and why I’m convinced we’re on the cusp of a massive spiritual breakthrough.

The Power of the Blood Covenant

Lou Engle began our conversation by emphasizing the centrality of the blood covenant in this season. He shared a dream he received 20 years ago about a “great communion revival” that would break division among believers. Lou believes we’re entering a time when the power of Christ’s blood will manifest in unprecedented ways, bringing revival and awakening.

This resonated deeply with me, as I’ve been led to preach on the blood covenant in recent services. There’s a growing sense that the Church needs a fresh revelation of the power of Christ’s sacrifice. As Lou put it, “I don’t think we’ve had the kind of revelation that we need.” This hunger for deeper understanding is a sign of what’s to come.

New York City: The Heart of Revival

One of the most exciting aspects of our conversation was Lou’s sense of calling to New York City. He feels led to fast for 40 days in our city, from September 1st to October 9th. As he shared this, I was reminded of a prophetic word we recently received about New York being like the heart of the body of Christ for America.

I shared with Lou how we’ve seen incredible favor in the city, including filling Times Square for a massive evangelistic event. The coverage of this gathering went viral in multiple countries. Lou was visibly moved by this, recognizing it as a sign of the spiritual momentum building in our city.

There’s a sense that New York is both “ground zero for the demonic and the heavenly.” The spiritual battle is intense, but the potential for breakthrough is immense. As Lou put it, “New York City is like the heart to squeeze the blood through the body” of our nation.

Breaking the Power of Sexual Immorality

A significant portion of our conversation focused on Lou’s burden for seeing a breakthrough in the area of sexual morality, particularly regarding the LGBTQ+ community. He shared a prophetic word he received about a coming wave of salvation and transformation among this group.

Lou believes we’re in a season where the “Ishtar spirit” – associated with sexual immorality and gender confusion – is being confronted. He sees a parallel between the biblical story of Esther and the current cultural moment. Just as Esther was used by God to overthrow a spirit of death and save her nation, Lou believes God is raising up modern-day “Esthers” to break the power of sexual immorality and bring deliverance.

The Fall of Roe v. Wade and Its Prophetic Significance

Lou shared powerful testimony about his years of prayer and fasting for the overturning of Roe v. Wade. He recounted standing before the Supreme Court, pleading the blood of Jesus for 18 years. Lou believes the recent fall of Roe is not just a political victory, but a prophetic sign of greater breakthroughs to come.

He shared a dream he received in 2012 about two tornadoes threatening to destroy America, labeled with the letters “AHA” – representing abortion and the homosexual agenda. With the fall of Roe, Lou senses that we’re on the verge of seeing the second “tornado” toppled as well.

This perspective challenges us to see current events through a spiritual lens, recognizing the long-term impact of persistent prayer and prophetic declaration.

The Call for a Million Esthers

Perhaps the most stirring part of our conversation was Lou’s vision for mobilizing a million women to fast, pray, and break witchcraft off America. He’s organizing a massive gathering on October 12th, the Day of Atonement, believing it to be a pivotal moment for our nation.

Lou shared how this vision came to him in a moment of divine urgency. On April 13th (4/13), he felt compelled to “seize the defining moment” and begin mobilizing immediately. The confirmations he received, including a chance encounter with a woman reading a book called “The Esther Anointing,” left no doubt that this was a God-ordained mission.

As he shared these details, I was struck by the connection to our church’s name – V1 Church. In aviation, V1 represents the “go/no-go” point, the moment of decision where a pilot must commit to takeoff. It felt like a divine confirmation that we’re entering a season of no turning back.

A Divine Timeline Converging

Throughout our conversation, there was a palpable sense that we’re living in a moment of divine convergence. The very fact that Lou was sharing these insights at our church, just two doors down from a nightclub where people had been partying all night, seemed symbolic of the clash of kingdoms taking place.

I shared with Lou how we’ve been contending for breakthrough in New York City for the past decade, and how encouraged I was by his words. The recent filling of Times Square for our event feels like a precursor to even greater moves of God.

Lou affirmed this, reminding me that New York is a “gate city” – historically the entry point for immigrants and spiritually a place of both great darkness and great light. He emphasized the importance of “standing at the gates” in spiritual warfare, believing that as we do, “the gates of Hades will not prevail.”

A Call to Action

As we concluded our time together, I felt a weighty sense of responsibility to share this message far and wide. This is not a moment for passivity or mere spectating. As Lou put it, we’re either called to be “Mordecais” who release and support modern-day Esthers, or we’re called to be Esthers ourselves, stepping into the frontlines of spiritual battle.

To those reading this blog, I want to emphasize: You are not here by accident. The fact that you’re engaging with this message is a divine confirmation of your role in this unfolding story. Whether you’re called to attend the gathering on October 12th or to support it through prayer and fasting, your participation is crucial.

This is not a time for streaming from the sidelines or staying comfortable at home. We’re in a season that demands our full engagement and sacrifice. The spiritual stakes are too high for half-hearted commitment.

Seizing the Moment

As I reflect on my conversation with Lou Engle, I’m filled with a mixture of sobriety and excitement. The challenges before us are immense, but the potential for breakthrough is even greater. We’re standing at a V1 moment in history – a point of no return where we must commit to “taking off” in faith.

Let this blog post serve as a rallying cry. Whether you’re in New York City or reading this from across the globe, you have a part to play in this unfolding story. Let’s join together in prayer, fasting, and bold action. Let’s believe for the seemingly impossible – for sexual brokenness to be healed, for witchcraft to be broken, and for a great awakening to sweep our land.

The convergence is here. The defining moment has arrived. Will you answer the call?

Standing Strong in the Face of Persecution: Lessons from a Pioneering Pastor in Rome

By | Persecution, The Holy Spirit, The Prophetic | No Comments

As a minister of the gospel, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to many nations and encountering believers from all walks of life. However, my recent trip to Italy left an indelible mark on my soul. In the heart of Rome, I had the honor of sitting down with a true spiritual warrior, Pastor Francesco Basile, a man who has devoted his life to advancing the Kingdom of God in the face of relentless opposition. Our conversation was a powerful reminder of the reality of persecution that countless believers worldwide endure daily, and the unwavering strength required to stand firm in the face of adversity.

A Family Legacy of Faith

Francesco’s story is one that resonates deeply with me. Like many of us, he comes from a lineage of courageous believers who chose to break away from the shackles of tradition and embrace the transformative power of the Gospel. His father, the first in their family to encounter Jesus, faced immense pressure and rejection, even being told he couldn’t marry Francesco’s mother unless he remained within the confines of Catholicism.

Yet, through it all, the Basile family remained steadfast in their commitment to Christ, planting churches and raising a generation of uncompromising believers. Francesco himself is a testament to this legacy, having planted three churches in Italy, a nation where Christianity has long been viewed with skepticism and hostility.

Facing the Storm of Persecution

As we delved deeper into our conversation, Francesco shared the challenges he has faced as a spirit-filled Christian in a predominantly secular society. The secular media, he revealed, often portrays those like him as members of a cult or sect, twisting words and misrepresenting their motives. It’s a tactic reminiscent of the spirit of Jezebel in Scripture, which sought to assassinate the character of those who stood for truth.

Francesco’s story is a sobering reminder that the persecution we face today is not limited to physical violence or overt oppression. The subtle, insidious attacks on our credibility and integrity can be just as damaging, seeking to undermine our witness and discredit the very message we proclaim.

The Power of a Personal Encounter

Despite the onslaught of opposition, Francesco’s resolve remains unwavering, fueled by a deep, personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. He recounted how, at the age of 19, amidst the guilt and shame of his past, his eyes were opened to the reality of the spiritual realm. He could discern the thoughts and motives of those around him, a gift that ultimately led him to surrender his life to Christ.

This transformative experience not only delivered Francesco from the chains of addiction and destructive behavior but also ignited a hunger for a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit. It’s a hunger that has sustained him through the storms of persecution, enabling him to persevere and remain steadfast in his calling.

The Weapons of Our Warfare

As we continued our dialogue, Francesco shared profound insights into the weapons we must wield in the face of opposition. He emphasized the importance of being rooted in the Word of God and maintaining an unwavering commitment to prayer and fasting. These spiritual disciplines, he explained, are not mere religious rituals but powerful tools that equip us to discern the enemy’s tactics and stand firm in the truth.

Moreover, Francesco encouraged us to embrace the gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as prophecy, wisdom, and discernment. These supernatural endowments are not mere parlor tricks but essential weapons in our arsenal, enabling us to navigate the challenges of our time with clarity and boldness.

A New Perspective on the Past

One of the most profound revelations Francesco shared was the concept of allowing God to rewrite our past. So often, he explained, we allow our past failures and struggles to define us, giving the enemy a foothold for condemnation and shame. However, when we surrender our lives to Christ, He not only redeems our future but also transforms our understanding of our past.

Francesco’s testimony is a living example of this truth. What the enemy once used as a weapon against him, God has transformed into a powerful tool for His glory. Francesco’s scars have become stars, shining beacons of hope and redemption for those who have endured similar struggles.

The Call to Endure

As our time together drew to a close, Francesco’s words resonated with a profound sense of urgency. He urged us to embrace the call to endure, to dig our heels in and resist the enemy’s attempts to dislodge us from our positions. Like the persecuted Church of Acts, we are called to stand firm, even in the face of opposition, knowing that our trials are but temporary, and our reward is eternal.

Francesco’s life is a testament to this unwavering commitment. Despite the obstacles and challenges he has faced, he has remained steadfast, preaching the Gospel in 27 nations and witnessing the transformative power of Christ in countless lives.

Conclusion

As I reflect on my time with Francesco Basile, I am filled with a profound sense of admiration and gratitude. His story is a powerful reminder that the Church of Jesus Christ is not a mere institution but a living, breathing organism, comprised of men and women who have encountered the risen Savior and chosen to follow Him at all costs.

The challenges we face in this hour may seem daunting, but we are not alone. We are part of a vast army of believers, united in our commitment to advance the Kingdom of God, no matter the cost. And as we stand together, shoulder to shoulder, we can take comfort in the words of our Lord: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

So, let us take courage, my fellow believers. Let us embrace the call to endure, to stand firm in the face of persecution, and to boldly proclaim the message of the Gospel to a world in desperate need of hope and redemption.

The Gifts of the Spirit: A Profound Treasure

By | Gifts of the Spirit, Healing, Miracles, Speaking in Tongues, The Holy Spirit, The Prophetic | No Comments

The gifts of the spirit are one of the most profound treasures a believer can possess, yet so many Christians struggle to understand and operate in them. During a recent revival meeting, I had the opportunity to dive deep into this topic and share some incredible stories from my own ministry journey. The gifts are not something we can earn through works, but are freely given manifestations of the Holy Spirit to be earnestly desired.

You Cannot Earn the Gifts

So many believers fall into the trap of thinking the gifts of the Spirit are rewards to be earned through fasting, giving, or other spiritual disciplines. But as I explained to a dear sister in my church, if the gift of tongues came after doing all those things, it would be called the rewards of the Spirit, not the gifts of the Spirit. The gifts are imparted sovereignly by God’s grace, not earned through our efforts.

In my experience, it’s often those who are the most generous givers who struggle the most to receive spiritual gifts for themselves. It can be hard for people whose identity is wrapped up in giving and serving others to simply receive something as a free gift from God. There’s an inherent identity struggle in understanding how we, as simple humans, could be empowered to operate in profound gifts like prophecy.

To Say Something

The gifts of the Spirit are often categorized into three groups of three – the first group enables us to “say something.” This includes prophecy, tongues, and interpretation of tongues. Consider how many times in Scripture, God instructed His spokespeople to quite literally “say something” – to speak forth His word and declare His messages.

I’ve seen the gift of tongues manifest in incredible ways, like the time my own prayer language sounded strikingly similar to ancient Italian as I interceded for my backslidden sister Sarah. The Holy Spirit was speaking into the very DNA and root system of her Italian heritage.

To Know Something

The second category allows us to “know something” beyond our natural abilities or circumstances. It includes the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, and discernment of spirits. Like Jesus knowing the Samaritan woman had five previous husbands, these gifts impart supernatural knowledge and insight.

I’ll never forget praying for a man who had the incredible gift of knowledge operating in his career field. As I prophesied over him about this advantage, I started getting words like “undercover” and “agent” – turns out, he was one of the highest-ranking FBI agents in America! The gifts allow us to know things in the supernatural realm that are impossible to know naturally.

To Do Something

The final three gifts – faith, healings, and miracles – empower us to “do something” beyond our human capacities and limitations. Every believer has a measure of faith, but those with a special gift of faith seem to create an atmosphere where others around them become emboldened to believe God for greater things.

I love to see healings and miracles in operation because they are such powerful demonstrations of God’s power and love. Like the woman who regrew the bones in her ear after I prayed for her hearing, or the many medical verifications we’ve received documenting miraculous healings of metal turning to bone and missing limbs being restored. The working of miracles is an incredible gift!

The Source of the Gifts

At the core, every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of Lights above. While there are different administrations and operations of these gifts, it all flows from the same Spirit. We must honor the diversity in how these gifts manifest while remembering the Source is the same. As I shared about my journey of being misjudged and misunderstood early in my ministry, exercising honor and grace towards one another is crucial for creating an atmosphere where the gifts can flow freely.

Each Gift Unveils His Love

One of the most profound truths the Lord has taught me about spiritual gifts is that each one opens up a unique way for us to experience the love of Christ. When exercised properly, even a hard prophetic word or intense deliverance should be permeated with the unmistakable aroma and fragrance of the Father’s love.

Too often, Pentecostals and Charismatics have divorced the gifts from sound theology and the love of the Father. But these gifts originate from God’s heart of love! When I operate in deliverance and see hundreds being freed from demonic oppression, there is a tangible sense of the Father’s love saturating the atmosphere instead of darkness or foreboding. Each gift is intended to unveil Christ’s passionate love for His children in unique ways.

A Source of Restoration

At their core, the gifts of the spirit are meant to be tools of restoration, healing, and reconciliation – not punishment or condemnation. Even when I had to confront my former pastor’s infidelity and financial misdeeds, it wasn’t to “be right” but to create an opportunity for repentance and healing in the church.

I’ll never forget years later seeing that same pastor overcome by conviction, walking through a crowd of 1,000 people to ask me to walk him through deliverance as he recommitted his life to Jesus. Though it took over 15 years, the prophetic word created a path to redemption and restoration. The New Covenant gifts are always an expression of the Father’s heart to restore and redeem His children.

An Identity Issue

For many, a blockage to receiving and operating in spiritual gifts is an identity issue of feeling inadequate or ill-equipped. We look at the daunting manifestations of the miraculous and think “How could someone like me ever move in those kinds of gifts?” The beautiful truth is that it’s not about our qualifications – it’s about Christ being formed in us.

The greater our intimacy and love relationship with Jesus, the more naturally the gifts will begin to flow out of our lives. Like the disciples being clothed with power from on high after the outpouring at Pentecost, our identity is meant to be rooted in His indwelling presence. From that place, the gifts cease being strange phenomena and become natural outpourings of the Spirit who lives within us.

Conclusion

The gifts of the spirit are not rewards to be earned, but gifts of grace to be earnestly desired and stewarded for the glory of God and the edification of the church. They open up profound avenues for encountering the passionate love of the Father in fresh ways. And though the manifestations may look different, the Source is the same – the Holy Spirit working in and through us.

My prayer is that this teaching would stir up holy desire and impart fresh courage to the Body of Christ. Let’s yearn, not earn, for the profound treasures of the spirit that are meant to be normal, not novel. And may the gifts release the fragrance of the Father’s love everywhere they flow!

The Prophetic Urgency to Become a Digital Tent Maker

By | Current Events, The Prophetic | No Comments

Over the years, the Lord has allowed me to build a significant online platform and reach millions around the world with the gospel. But this assignment wasn’t just for my own “ministry success.” I now believe it was preparation for an urgent mission – to raise up and equip an army of digital tent makers before a major storm hits the global economy.

A Shifting Financial Landscape

I’ll be upfront – my recent conversations with my friend Evan Wilson have been soaked in a sense of prophetic urgency. We’re eyewitnesses to patterns that cannot be ignored:

  • Major bank executives abruptly retiring in 2025-2026.
  • The U.S. dollar’s reign as the global reserve currency nearing its end.
  • Rapid AI proliferation displacing human workers across sectors.

To the natural eye, these seem like simply economic or technological trends. But to those with spiritual discernment, these are signposts marking an inescapable transition on the horizon. An entire system is changing before our eyes.

Just as I warned my staff years ago to “save money” because I sensed something coming before the pandemic, I’m now getting that same gut-punch from the Lord: “Get ready – but saving alone won’t be enough this time.”

We need additional streams of income and provision models tailored to this new digital landscape. In other words, we need an army of digital tent makers.

The Rise of the Digital Tent Maker

In the book of Acts, the apostle Paul was a tent maker by trade. This allowed him to earn income as he traveled, funding his ministry activities through his own skills and labor. It was the original “business as mission” model.

What if modern-day ministers embraced the same entrepreneurial priority – using legitimate online business activities to provide for themselves while taking the gospel to penetrate new digital territories?

I’m witnessing it happen already through the digital platform God has allowed me to steward. Everyday believers from all walks of life – from mothers and mechanics to teachers and tradesmen – are replacing or supplementing their incomes online. Through consistent content creation, sheer discipline, and Internet-based businesses, they’re becoming modern tentmakers.

Some have been able to leave secular jobs behind completely, like the French woman I met earning a full income from making “soaking music” broadcasts on YouTube! Others use their additional income to invest in missions, support other ministries and kingdom callings, or provide for their families while working from home.

My heart burns with a vision to raise up and multiply these types of digital tent makers over the next 18 months and beyond. To see one hundred, one thousand, or more Christian content creators, teachers, preachers, and entrepreneurial evangelists operating in abundance and economic freedom. To occupy online spaces and digital territories for the Kingdom instead of merely consuming what’s fed to us.

This isn’t about chasing online fame or wealth for wealth’s sake. It’s about utilizing ethical, innovative income models to strategically reach people with the hope of Jesus – just as Paul used tent making pragmatically to fund his church planting labors.

Embracing Your Digital Tent Making Assignment

Of course, the journey won’t be easy – any God-assigned goal worth achieving will require diligence and tenacity. My friend Evan and I have put in 9 years of grinding, filming videos daily, and learning on the front lines what works and what doesn’t online.

But you can accelerate the process by receiving the lessons we’ve learned. That’s why we’ve created a free video training to download, unpacking 6 proven strategies tailored specifically to this season’s social media algorithms and digital trends.

I’m calling you to become more than a passive content consumer. Shift your identity to that of a producer, a creator, a digital tent maker forging your own way supported by legitimate online business models and revenue streams.

Let our testimonies awaken your hunger to join this rising breed of entrepreneurs preaching the good news of the Kingdom through lifestyle, education, and digital media.

This is a divine moment – a sifting between those merely observing and those radically embracing the new landscapes opening up before us. Receive this prophetic urgency. Quit delaying for “perfect circumstances.” If you’ve heard the Lord’s clarity on this subject, I’m inviting you to act now through faithful, bold obedience.

The days of containment and limitation are over. 2024 and beyond beckon a sending of digital tent makers reaching homes, cities and nations previously inaccessible to us.

It’s time to awaken to your full Kingdom assignment and potential. Let’s be found ready for that moment together.

Confronting Jezebel: A Prophetic Call for Discernment

By | Prayer, The Prophetic | No Comments

The recent situation involving Pastor Mark Driscoll’s rebuke at a men’s conference hosted by John Lindell’s church has sent shockwaves through the body of Christ. In an unexpected turn of events, Driscoll confronted what he perceived as the spirit of Jezebel manifesting through a male performer’s provocative acrobatic routine.

As prophetic voices, Jeremiah Johnson and I felt compelled to weigh in, offering insights that transcend the specific incident and underscore the urgent need for spiritual discernment and courage within the church.

The Apostolic Dimension

There is an apostolic dimension often overlooked in modern church dynamics.  Driscoll, operating as an apostolic voice, was within his rights to correct publicly what had occurred publicly – even if it meant seeming to violate the prescribed Matthew 18 process often misapplied.

Within the apostolic dimension, you sometimes have to correct publicly what happens publicly. Just as Paul openly rebuked individuals in his inspired epistles, modern-day apostles may need to confront matters openly when warranted.

A Missed Opportunity

Johnson raised a profound perspective: Given the long-standing friendship between Driscoll and Lindell, could this situation have been an opportunity to model biblically confronting principalities and powers in love?

“They missed a moment we could have demonstrated to the body of Christ – that through relationship and love, we give each other a voice to speak truth,” Johnson reflected. Instead of an adversarial stance, imagine if it had catalyzed corporate repentance and revival?

The Weight of Prophetic Rebuke

We both agreed – rarely do we witness the weight of genuine prophetic rebuke and repentance nowadays. It’s hard to predict what one might do in a similar situation, but I might have doubled down rather than backing off, sensing a divine moment that could have birthed national deliverance for men struggling with sexual temptation.  True prophetic acts can shift spiritual atmospheres, but such courage is sorely lacking.

Heed the Voices You Received

Personally, I’ve been in a similar situation as Pastor John when I received and then heeded my apostolic overseers’ rebuke – even when I didn’t fully understand it – and watched incredible fruit and favor manifest as a result. Testing the spirits is crucial; when discerned prophetic voices bring adjustments, the wise embrace them.

Some of the favor I carry flows from how I receive rebuke.  I would be wise to listen, even if I disagree, because I see the fruit in their lives.

The Wilkerson Prophecy

Johnson quoted a startling prophecy from David Wilkerson’s 1973 book, The Vision, which seemed to foreshadow the controversy:

“Public nudity in any form is creature worship. Nudity in the church will not go unanswered by God…creating a new form of mental illness that will not respond to any kind of treatment.”

Wilkerson’s words proved disturbingly accurate – demonic manifestations can ensue when the church caters to the flesh. We can see the mental illness he referred to is here and it’s the consequence of worshiping the creation, not the Creator.

Misplaced Correction

One glaring issue, however, lies in the widespread trend of self-appointed “discernment” authorities taking it upon themselves to rebuke leadership publicly – often from impure motives like garnering views and profit.

In contrast, true prophetic correction flows from duly ordained voices with proven fruit and relational accountability. The solution isn’t no accountability but governmental accountability with real apostolic leadership.

A Coming Martyrdom

Looking ahead, we both sensed the Lord highlighting a heightened season of persecution and”martyrdom” – not merely physical death but a company willing to pay any cost to see God’s purposes prevail.

Those having resolve in their spiritual spine, unwavering servants who bow only to God – not man’s systems.  Such unstoppable ones will emerge as human vessels for the Spirit’s most profound workings.

A United Prophetic Army

Ultimately, our dialogue revealed the pressing need for unity among proper prophetic voices as steep days loom for the American church. The rousing call?  Shed petty differences, discern accurately, and lock shields as one prophetic army advancing the Kingdom without compromise or fear.

We need to lock arms – true pray-ers and doers, representing with the passion of a Taylor Swift fanbase. Are you ready to rise up as one of the unstoppable ones? The call has gone out – now is our time to respond!

This prophetic conversation provided a sobering yet empowering challenge: Will the church embrace the authentic, God-ordained prophetic voices being raised up for such a pivotal hour? The stakes have never been higher; may we be swiftly perfected into His faultless likeness.

Urgent Prophetic Word: A Call To Fervent Prayer

By | Prayer, The Prophetic | No Comments

As I sat down to record another broadcast, the Holy Spirit stirred something deep within me with an overwhelming sense of urgency. I had to drop everything and go live immediately to deliver this critically important prophetic word from the Lord. If you’re watching the replay or reading this after the fact, it’s not too late – God is rallying His people into focused prayer like never before.

A Pivotal Window of Permission

I truly believe we are in the final moments of a special window where God is giving us permission to deal with matters through prayer. He is enabling intercessors to do deep spiritual work, granting us the authority to take dominion, step in, rearrange, reallocate, and restructure things in the spiritual realm.

Something profound is happening in the earth right now. I hear the Lord clearly saying, “It doesn’t have to go this way. If the righteous will rise up, it can go another way.” We still have a chance to change the trajectory through concerted prayer. Can you feel that stirring in your spirit like when John the Baptist leapt in Elizabeth’s womb? The spiritual wombs of intercessors are leaping, conceiving something new – there is still time to deal with this situation through wholehearted prayer.

An Urgency to Pray

Some of you have backed off from fervent prayer recently. Maybe you faced disappointments or unanswered prayers that led to frustration with God. But the Lord is saying, “My will was done, and now I need you to participate in my will through passionate intercession.”

I saw a sobering reality – two cries are arising. The first is the cry of the remnant church, the intercessors treading the narrow path. But then I saw a second cry, the cry of humanity experiencing turmoil and destruction across many borders. This is not going to be an easy season – we are entering a period of difficulty.

The Lord impressed on me, “Take care of your affairs.” By the time the devastation materializes in the natural realm, it will be too late for many. But in the spiritual realm, there is still an opportunity to pray through, contending for breakthroughs. As you persevere through opposition in prayer, you will begin to see immediate releases – properties, opportunities, relationships, and more. But only for those who pray!

A Realignment and Release for Intercessors

God is going to align together those who diligently pray -Business people, entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, and all who prioritize the secret place will unite across borders. The Lord declared, “I will separate those who pray from those who do not pray.”

To those who pray, the Lord promises to release heavenly strategy, wisdom, revelation, and prophetic insights to avert dangers. He will multiply your efforts exponentially – not just a one-to-five increase, but one act will be multiplied by ten! As you have been faithful with tithes and first fruits, God will release a tenfold multiplication into your life, but for the sake of His kingdom cause.

You Have Lost Touch with the Call

The Lord gave me a sobering word: “You have lost touch with the command. You have lost touch with the call, but I have desired more of you. I will give you diverse gifts, but I will require much from you.”

Some of you have been carrying divine assignments like smooth stones in your pockets, but you haven’t released them toward the giants you face. It’s time to take out those prophetic words, books, songs, and sermons you’ve been sitting on and send them forth, for the spirit of fear has been tormenting you, vexing you at night to keep you silent.

But the Lord promises, “I have not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” Your first assignment is to war against the spirit of fear blanketing the earth and keeping God’s people hostage.

A Coming Boldness Like the Martyrs

Many have been afraid to speak up – afraid to share with family, bosses, or co-workers. But like Esther, God is summoning you to boldness, for on the other side of your voice is the liberation of nations! You must break through fear and speak life, for you cannot operate in fear and faith simultaneously.

The Lord is breaking the spell of Jezebel – the spirits of accusation, manipulation, control, and deception being released against you. He is delivering you from the soothsayer’s spells and removing barriers like cotton from your ears so you can walk in clarity and confidence like never before.

As boldness rises, the Lord says, “Even as martyrs, there will be a spirit of martyrdom in the earth…those who bow only to Me will never bow to man or man-made systems.” An unstoppable company is emerging who will say, “I will do whatever it takes” to see the Lord’s purposes fulfilled, no matter the cost.

An Invitation to Join the Army

After receiving this powerful, eye-opening word, I’m going to pray for you, asking the Lord to impart fresh boldness and confidence. But then we must move forward together in obedience! I’m raising up an army, not just building an audience.

This is a pivotal time, and Jesus’ return is drawing near. I’m all in, doing everything I can to spread this life-giving message and see revival blaze across the earth. But I need you to join me, church! Let’s lock arms as pray-ers and doers of the Word.  Together, we’ll see nations shaken and the Kingdom of God accelerated in this critical hour.

Are you ready to rise up as one of the unstoppable ones? The call has gone out – now is our time to respond!

Is The Holy Spirit Warning You As Well?

I’ve noticed that the Holy Spirit will warn a group of people, and sometimes people will think you’re crazy. Sometimes, people will feel that you’ve lost your mind or are operating out of fear, but know that the Holy Spirit is warning you. I believe that things are unfolding on the earth right now, and it’s more important than ever that we have our ears open to what the Lord would be saying. Many people ignore instinct and then it’s too late.

Be Ready for “Suddenly”

The Lord kept showing me the word “suddenly.” There’s going to be a sudden change, a sudden shift. There will be things that happen suddenly in government, in food supply chains, in the financial market, and in real estate. We must be aware.

The Bible talks about suddenly all the time. We read in Matthew 24:40 about how two people will be walking, and then suddenly, one will be caught up, and the other will remain. Think about how suddenly there was a lockdown. Suddenly, these things begin to transpire, and as they come to pass, we’re caught up and unprepared. And it’s to the detriment of our family, friends, and circles. And so the Holy Spirit has probably been convicting and speaking to you.

Remove Delay

The thing about suddenly is that the Lord always will give us time for preparation and always ensure that His people are not going to be lacking. And so, what does that mean for you? That means if the Lord told you to do something, you must do it. So, if the Lord told you to start a business, you need to start the business. If the Lord told you to start a ministry, you need to get accountability, get oversight, and begin to make that a ministry.

If the Lord told you to do something, I feel strongly that He said, “Tell my people to remove delay.” There’s going to be a window of opportunity, which you are in right now, but when things transpire, you’re going to realize you didn’t have as much time as you thought you would have. I see the Lord trying to help His people avoid regret.

The Lord spoke to some of you before the last pandemic, but you ignored him then. What God is saying right now is, “Remove delay. You ignored me last time. Do not ignore me again.” And yet, some of you think you may still have more time. And the Lord says, “You do not have as much time as you think you have.” This warning is an act of mercy on behalf of God. The Lord is being merciful by even giving us the opportunity. This is not your gut or your instinct; it’s the Holy Spirit telling you to get your house in order, make arrangements, and line things up. He keeps telling me repeatedly, “This is not you; this is me. This is not you; this is me.”

Obey First, Then The Door Opens

Some reading this may have a level of fear. You may ask, What will happen when I start to do what God called me to do? What’s going to happen when I finally say yes? Don’t wait for the door to open and then obey; you obey, and then the door opens. Stop calculating it by your own understanding. Stop trying to figure it out with your own wisdom. You obey, and then the door opens. This is the way of the Spirit, and many are too carnal in their thinking.

You have to move, and then God will open the door. You have to obey, and then God will be faithful and reciprocate. As you begin to speak, advance, and move by faith, the Lord will open the door as you step out.

For some reading this, the Lord told you places to go, and you have not gone. He showed you places to move, and you have not moved. He’s told you things to sell, and you have not sold them. Some of you have been told by Him to leave churches, leave ministries, get under new leaders, or find new accountability, and you haven’t done it yet. And the Lord’s saying, “It’s time to move.”

Silencing The Tormenting Voice

Some voices have been tormenting you. Some people have been speaking against you, and the Lord says, “I’m giving you the ability to outlast. I’m going to bring you to a place where you no longer hear the taunts of their voice, a place where you no longer hear their naysaying, criticism, and backbiting.”

Who Are the Abrahams?

When God told me to go to New York City, I sold my house in Indiana and began to prepare to go to New York City. I needed $3,000 to move into my apartment in New York City, but I did not have the money. Now, mind you, I’m a normal, rational human being. The night before I was supposed to leave, I told my family, “We’re going to New York City.” A bit later that night, I met a friend of mine. He had no idea I was short on money and said, “The Lord told me to write a check.” He handed me an envelope. I opened it, and the card said, “The Lord split the sea so you can walk right through.” Inside the card was the exact amount we needed to move and start the next chapter of our ministry.

I was willing to make myself a fool for Jesus. I had everything packed up. I had the U-Haul but didn’t even have the money to move into the apartment on the other side. It came in the final hour before I went to bed that night. And this is the word of the Lord to somebody: The Lord is pleased by faith. He is displeased by doubt, fear, and human wisdom. I hear the Lord asking, “Who will operate in faith? Who are the Abrahams of this generation? Who will go a different path and walk a different way? Who are the Sarahs that will rise up in faith like never before?”

Go Back To What He Already Told You

I heard the Lord say, “Mike, tell them to stop negotiating with me, but be obedient.” Don’t make a deal with God. Some of you say, “God, if you do this, I’ll do this.” Who are you to manipulate God? Who are you to tell God what He can and cannot do? I hear the Lord telling me to tell somebody, “Go back to what I already told you.” Some of you ask for fresh vision, but the Lord says, “No, I desire that you would return to the previous vision. I want you to return to what I already told you and do it. Go back to your journals, go back to your notebooks, go back to your voice memo recordings. Go back to the times I spoke to you,” says the Lord, “and do the very thing. Now is the time to return and be faithful to what I told you.”

Combatting The Spirit of Abortion

I see the spirit of abortion in some of those reading this prophetic word. God conceived something in you.   Do not kill that which God conceived. Don’t let your husband, your friends, your neighbors, or your region kill it, because the Lord conceived a dream in you. God Almighty gave you that dream, and if you let it continue to be developed, if you continue to let it grow, that dream will feed you. That dream will care for you and cause you to enter higher places of influence. But sometimes you have to tell people, “You don’t have the right to kill my baby. You don’t have the right to kill that which God conceived!”

When you think about the days in which Jesus was born, there was a decree to kill all the firstborn males. In Moses’ day, there was also a decree to kill firstborn males. There are times when the spirit of the enemy in the earth tries to kill.

What does a firstborn male represent? A firstborn represents faith. It’s the baby of promise. Once you have your first child, having second, third, or fourth is easier. You know you’re able. But there’s something about the firstborn. That’s why God gave Jesus his only begotten Son. Why? It represents faith. There was no plan B.

The Lord’s saying, “Kill your backup plan. Don’t kill my baby. Kill your plan B, but don’t kill my baby. Kill off the other options, but don’t kill off the thing that requires faith. I gave you that!” The Lord wants to impart faith right now. Faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the substance of things not seen. The Holy Spirit has already been telling you it’s time. Please don’t delay, don’t back down, don’t listen to their voices anymore. Listen to the voice of the Lord. I don’t care if I have enough money. I don’t care if people believe in me. I don’t care if people think it’ll work. God told me to do it. It has to work.

Remove Saul’s Armor

I saw a vision of Saul’s armor. When David went to kill Goliath, he did what the Lord told him to do, but King Saul put armor on him as a false form of protection because Saul didn’t have faith. I see many children of God wearing Saul’s armor. Somebody put an expectation on you that was not God’s expectation. Somebody told you you shouldn’t do something because they were afraid to do it. You’re wearing somebody else’s fear right now and don’t even realize it. Somebody told you it wasn’t possible.

Some people wear titles and opinions from other people. You wear names that they placed on you. I see the Lord taking name tags off. What does that mean? It means that you were called rebellious when you were submitted, unhealed when you were healed, and triggered and traumatized when you were whole.

The Lord says, “I’m taking off the names now, and you’re going to wear my name.” I see women whose last name is not their maiden name, but the Lord says, “I’m taking you back, and I’m giving you my name as well. You will bear my name.” Some of you have taken on the name of ministries, and the Lord says, “I’m taking that ministry name off of you, and I’m giving you my name.” But you’ve got to step in now. You can’t back down or back up.

Rise in Faith

The Lord wants me to tell you that the promise is much bigger than the pain. What is on the other side of the sacrifice is much more significant than what you sacrifice. The Lord wants to give back three and fourfold, but you have to be willing to take Isaac up to the mountain and kill the son of promise. Why? Because it represents faith. God is not accepting sacrifices that don’t require faith.

You may feel weary or tired. Maybe you’ve been going through it. The Lord says, “No, you’re weary from listening to man’s fear, doubt, and ways, but I’ll renew your strength. Just rise up in faith. I’ll renew your mind.”

Unusual Miracles

As you begin to do that, you will see the supernatural realm open up to you like never before. This is a time of unusual miracles. Why? Because when you begin to operate in faith, the Lord will confirm you and your situation. He will show you the signs. You’ll start to have visions. Things will come into alignment.

The most potent spiritual experience you can have is obedience to Jesus Christ. As soon as you obey Jesus Christ, you’ll take a coin out of a fish’s mouth to pay for your taxes. There’s going to be supernatural financial provision. There’s going to be supernatural healing, strength upon strength.

The Sacrifice and Restoration

There is a reward for faithfulness and obedience, which is the way of obedience. Elijah told the widow, “Give me your little oil and a bit of flour.” You thought that you were going to make one more meal for yourself and your son, and then you were going to die. But when God touches it with His multiplying power, He will cause it to be never-ending. There’s something about the supernatural realm and sacrificial giving. The sacrifice is different for everyone. But whatever the Lord asks you to give, if you will provide it and step out in faith, He will multiply it.

I was raised in trailer parks on welfare. We moved eight and nine times in a year when I was a kid. So when I became a man and bought my own house, that house represented security and safety. Ten years ago, the Lord told me to give up my house. He said, “Mike, it’s no longer a house. It’s a replacement for my shelter and my comfort. At first, it was your house, but now it’s an idol. I want you to give it to me.” I said, “Lord, how could you ask me to give my house up to go into ministry? I’ve never had a house. My childhood was so dysfunctional. Finally, I have my own house!” And the Lord said, “You’re either building the house of God or your own house.”

So I walked away from my home. Ten years later, the Lord has restored what I gave up. When you let go of what’s in your hand, He’ll release what’s in His hand. You can’t even contain the blessing, but it will always come in the form of sacrifice.

Conclusion

Who are you to tell God what you won’t do? Put a yes in your spirit. If He told you to go, you better leave right now. If He told you to start something, start something right now.

Stop thinking it’s you. When you start making decisions out of faith, it’s impossible for that not to be the voice of the Holy Spirit because Satan will never ask you to do something in faith.

Feeling Unusually Tired Lately?

By | The Prophetic | No Comments

Have you been feeling exhausted, lethargic, passive, and not feeling like yourself? But then, at the same time, you struggle with insomnia. Despite your tiredness, you can’t find physical or mental rest. These physical issues are indicators of something happening spiritually. I speak all over the United States and ask people this question, and in crowds of people, 95% of them raise their hands that they are experiencing this same phenomenon. And even though their diets are healthy, and they exercise and keep their stress levels in check, they still experience this issue.

Dark Winter

At the time of writing this prophetic word, we’re coming into the winter. I’ve been hearing the phrase “dark winter.” You probably have been feeling lethargic and drained. It’s impossible to read the New Testament, from Matthew to Revelation, and not draw the conclusion that we are fighting demonic spirits. The Lord showed me in prayer that there is a spiritual slumber and a tiredness that has been sent on assignment by the devil to rob people from stepping into the fullness of why God has birthed them on the earth for such a time as this. Forces are trying to rob masses of people of their divine purpose.

A People Who Dream

We are systematically being bombarded by an agenda to slow us down, to restrict us, to hold us back. And let me tell you why. You are a prophetic people. This is the generation of Elijah that will do what the prophet Joel prophesied about when he said, “Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28 ESV). If you don’t sleep, you don’t dream. And if you don’t dream, you don’t get revelation. If you don’t get revelation, you don’t get motivation. And if you don’t get motivation, you don’t take action.

There is an assignment from Satan to stop you from dreaming prophetic dreams and discerning the signs of the times. There is going to be a global harvest of souls. Your family is supposed to be saved. Your family is supposed to be delivered. You are supposed to step into financial provision. You’re supposed to be a Joseph building a Goshen where you have provision for your family before the economic collapse, but the devil is trying to stop you from getting it.

A Vision of a Thief

Are you experiencing an attack in your sleep? Are your friends and family members opposing you? Have you been subjected to unusual cruelty? Are people criticizing you? Are they backbiting and talking about you? Have you been rejected or abandoned?

I had a vision in prayer. You were lying in bed, tossing and turning, and neither asleep nor awake in a twilight. A thief entered your home, and as he walked in, you knew it was time to wake up and stop the thief.

I saw in your closet a weapon. You knew it was there, but you kept telling yourself, “I’m too tired to stop the thief. I’m too tired to stop the thief.” And then you decided to let the thief rob you. You allowed the thief to steal your children. You let the thief steal gold-like items representing the Lord’s prosperity and provision.

The Lord told me, “Tell my people to awake from their slumber. Mike, pray for my people today. Break off every demonic assignment and cast every single demon out of their lives, their houses, and their bodies so that they do not miss their moment so that they do not miss their assignment.”

The Root of Discouragement

The Lord said, “Many of my people have a root of discouragement.” What does that mean? You put your hope in man, and man has failed you. You put your hope in a church or ministry, and that church or ministry failed you, and it caused discouragement. Discouragement causes despair, and despair has disabled you. The Bible says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick” (Prov 13:12-14), and I begin to see a heart sickness. And the Lord says that He’s dealing with discouragement and heart sickness. Maybe you thought your spouse would become a man of God, and he never stepped in. You’re discouraged, and the delay has caused you to become heartsick.

You may have received a word about stepping into ministry, into your calling, and it hasn’t come to pass. You’ve been discouraged. You’ve been believing for and fasting for healing and said, “God, I know that you can heal me.” It hasn’t happened, and you’ve been discouraged, and that discouragement has turned to tiredness and lethargy.

Fight With the Opposite Spirit

So, what is the solution? You fight a spirit with the opposite spirit. When they accused Jesus of casting devils out by the power of the devil, Jesus said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” If you’re fighting passivity, lethargy, and tiredness and go lay in your bed, you’re fighting a spirit with the same spirit because they want you in the bed or in your favorite chair, scrolling all day. If the devil tempts you with being lethargic, you stand up. You rise and say, no devil, I’m going to take back everything that you’re trying to steal from me, and you’re not going to have my body. You’re not going to have my children. You’re not going to have my destiny.

Perhaps you’ve been feeling a solicitation to sin or to temptation. This could include:

  • Wanting to go back to vaping or tobacco product
  • Wanting to relapse into alcohol addiction
  • A solicitation back to pornography, lust, or dating websites

Do not go back. Don’t turn into a pillar of salt in this season. Set your eyes forward.

The Lord began to show me preservation. He is going to preserve your body, your mind, your anointing, and your calling. We’re going to say no to all the agendas of the enemy.

Let’s Pray

Heavenly Father, I pray for every single person reading this right now. I break every assignment of Satan off of them by the blood of Jesus, and I release the anointing to break every burden of isolation, loneliness, and fear. I speak to the spirit of python that’s been strangling their neck, and I command that serpent to loose their neck right now in the name of Jesus and to go back to the abyss.

You will not steal their life. You will not steal their breath. Every spirit of python, go in the name of Jesus. I speak to discouragement and depression, and I command every foul spirit of discouragement and depression to go in the name of Jesus. I see the Lord breaking heavy chains off of your neck. I break the curse of slavery. You will not be a slave to systems of government, systems of the world, or slaves to alcohol and tobacco. I break the power of mental slavery right now in the name of Jesus. You will not be a slave to pills.

You will not be a slave to mind control. Every spirit that has been binding them and holding them back from activity, I command them to go in the name of Jesus now and I release supernatural encouragement, strength, and peace over every single one of you.

The Lord has shown me right now that people have been talking about you, backbiting, and I see sores slicing your back. I hear the Lord saying that I will lift a standard against them and silence every tongue that has risen up against you. And the Lord says, when they talked about you, they were talking about me because you’ve been living for my name’s sake. And so right now, we cancel every assignment of slander, character, assassination, and gossip in the name of Jesus. We thwart it, cancel it, and ask the Lord to lift a standard against it right now in the name of Jesus. And I say peace.

I say peace. I take captive every thought that erects itself up against the word of God and pull it down right now in the name of Jesus. I pull down every single thought contrary to God’s word right now. Every lunatic spirit, the spirit of schizophrenia, the spirit of multiple voices, the spirit of deception, I command you to go right now in the name of Jesus. Loose them right now in the name of Jesus/ Some of you have been saying, am I going crazy? Am I losing my mind? No, your mind is kept in perfect peace by Jehovah.

The Lord is healing you to step into what God has for you. To step into your purpose, write the book, preach, prophesy, travel, get married, and have babies. The Lord is mobilizing. We are not going to be victims of this demonic global system to try to sterilize us, anesthetize us, and put us back to sleep. We will rise bold as lions and fight a spirit with an opposite spirit and not let the devil win.

You will birth that business. You will birth that ministry. You will step into your assignment from God, and you will not back down.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

It’s Time to Dream Bigger

By | The Prophetic | No Comments

Many of us know people who have embraced mediocrity despite deserving greater things.  We all have friends and family members who chose companions who don’t were less than ideal – we call that “settling.” Some compromise in both their professional and personal spheres, adopting the belief that contentment stems from embracing whatever life hands them.

Truthfully, it’s easy to settle for less in many areas of life.  We are tempted to exchange “free indeed,” which Jesus offers, for “freer than you used to be.”  Instead of God’s best, we settle for “just better.”  I don’t want a better marriage. I want the best marriage. I don’t want to be freer than I used to be. I want to be completely free. I don’t want to just feel a little bit better in my body. I want complete and total healing in my body.

Genesis 11:31 (ESV)

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.

Abram’s father, Terah, originally set out to lead his large family from Ur to Canaan. However, when they reached about halfway to Canaan, Terah decided to settle in Haran instead of pressing on. Consequently, Haran came to symbolize the land of comfort.

But there’s a pivotal message here: sometimes we exchange Haran for Canaan. Canaan, in this context, represents the land of promise. The underlying message is clear – we should not exchange comfort for the promise. These are distinct choices, and many find themselves at a point in their Christian journey where they celebrate progress but may unknowingly be settling for less.

It’s crucial to recognize that getting older and feeling tired isn’t synonymous with sanctification. The temptation to justify changes in lifestyle by claiming maturity needs to be scrutinized. God’s call is to press on to Canaan, not settle for comfort.  Maybe you say, “Well, I don’t club like I used to club.” Well maybe it’s because you’re older and tired, not because you’re sanctified!

What you do incrementally, your children will do exponentially. If you drink a little bit, your children will drink more.  If you party a little bit, your children will party exponentially more. We are called to set a standard of the next generation! Don’t settle for comfort when the promise awaits in Canaan.

You may have been delivered from a demonic enemy, but have you dealt with the “enemy of me?”  What do you do when you get delivered from demons and now you’re the problem?  What happens when you can’t blame a demon anymore?  Terah opted for the comfort of this new, like, Mesopotamian home.  But why would he stop halfway?  When I read Abraham’s testimony from Joshua’s standpoint, it gives another perspective.

Joshua 24:2 (ESV)

And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘Long ago, your fathers lived beyond the Euphrates, Terah, the father of Abraham and of Nahor; and they served other gods.

Terah worshiped other gods. We’re all made and designed to worship.  What is worship? It’s the direction of your affections. We never stop worshiping, we just change the direction of our worship.  So, what are you worshiping?  Terah’s decision to worship other gods was going to affect his legacy.

Abraham’s Legacy

Hebrews 11:8 (ESV)

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

By faith, Abraham did something his dad never did.  His dad started the journey and led everyone toward Canaan.   But he stopped halfway because it was comfortable.  He worshiped other Gods.  God designed Terah to go all the way, but he compromised and moved to the next generation.  Maybe the generation before you was destined for greatness, and now God is speaking this message to you. God wants you to go all the way. When Abraham was called, he obeyed. And he went out to a place to receive an inheritance.

Understanding Inheritance

There are two kinds of inheritances: biological and supernatural.  You may have inherited your eye color or height from your parents.  This is biological inheritance.  This is not what the Bible is speaking about when it says that Abraham went to a place that he did not know to receive an inheritance. He was after a godly inheritance.

Some of you received generational curses of alcoholism, divorce, or premature death. But the Bible says he said he went to another land and he obeyed so he could receive another inheritance.  Premature death runs in both sides of my family. Men went to prison on both sides of my family, and there’s divorce in my family as well. I had to make a decision when it came to me. My parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents may have been subject to the generational curses of the past.  But I was going to go into another land that I knew not. And I was going to obey.  I wasn’t I wasn’t going to worship the gods of Playboy Magazine. I wasn’t going to worship the god of Michelob and Miller Lite.  I wasn’t going to bow down to those gods, but I was going to go into another land that I did not know.

The Bible says, “He went out not knowing where he was going.”  You have to be willing to do something that you’ve never seen someone else do and to be something you’ve never seen someone else be.

In the 1940’s, only 4% of all children were born to single mothers. In 2023, 40% of all births are to single mothers in this nation.  Fatherlessness is an epidemic.  Every problem we have is rooted in the absence of fathers.  Maybe you never saw your dad pray for your mom.  It’s time to be something different.  A non-anxious presence of a man in a home is a healing force from God. When a man begins to pray for his wife and lay hands on her, that flows oil through the whole family.

When I first got married to my wife, Julie, I had no idea how to be a husband. I’d never seen it before. I was angry all the time. The injustices of the world, how hard it is to make money. In my dad’s generation, you could get a job at McDonald’s and go buy a house and a car. Your wife could be a stay-at-home mom and you could pay in full for college after each semester.  The economy of my father’s time was very different.  Nowadays you have to have three side hustles, four businesses, you work full time, and you still don’t have medical benefits. And so you live under that pressure and you’re angry and frustrated all the time.

It may feel like things are getting harder for you. The pressure is on. But let me remind you, the same boiling water that softens a potato hardens an egg.  So when you are under pressure, if you have the DNA of the kingdom on the inside of you, it will harden some resolve inside of you.

Abraham was under the same pressure. His dad was an idolator, but Abraham said, “I’m not going to worship those false gods. I’m going to worship the God of Israel. I’m going to make a decision. I will be the one that obeys.”

When we talk about spiritual inheritance, we’re talking about dominion. You’re not inheriting biologically, you’re inheriting supernaturally. Fear tells you “Why even try, because it won’t work!” Fear tells you, “Why even go into this area, it won’t work?”

Faith says, “No, I can, I will, I shall.”  Faith says, “I will go in, I will do it.” Faith says, “I’m not backing down.  I’m going to continue to move in this direction.”

Terah traveled over 600 miles and he only had 450 miles to go. Some of you are right at the edge of your breakthrough.  You’ve already been 600 miles.  Some of you have been through so much, and you’re right at that point of breakthrough, but you’re getting ready to settle. You’re getting ready to be offended over something stupid. You’re getting ready to get captivated by the thoughts of all the gossip around you, and what other people have said.

You did not get this far just to get this far. You did not get this free, not to get completely free. You didn’t survive all the hell that you went through just to live this kind of life.

The Lord is calling you to this next level.

Overcoming Scarcity Mindset

Terah settled at a place called Haran, which means “caravan route” in Hebrew.  It was never supposed to be a destination. Haran was located on the Euphrates River and it was just a caravan route, but he made a route his home.  Some of you are about to make a route your home.  And God does not want you to stay there.  He has more for you.  He wants to break the scarcity mindset.

My mother was a single mother on welfare with five kids.  My mother and I received the ministry of deliverance and prophecy at the same time. We hadn’t been taught it in our local church; rather, it was through books we were reading, such as those by the Apostle John Eckhart, who was located on the south side of Chicago.

Our church had a lot of people who had recently moved from Puerto Rico who had practiced witchcraft.  We started seeing demons manifest when we prayed for people, and we didn’t know what to do.  We started learning deliverance and prophecy, and the first person I ever prophesied over was my mom, and vice versa.  My mom and I started learning the power of decreeing. In the oldest book of the Bible, Job, he says, “I will decree a thing and it will be established unto me.” The power of life and death is in your tongue. So we started decreeing and declaring.

Dream Bigger

I remember one day I was in my bedroom at the other end of our house and I could hear pounding and muffled yelling. As I walked down the hallway it got louder and louder  As I got to the kitchen I saw my mother at the table, praying in the spirit.  She was pounding her fist on the table and every time she hit the table, she said, “Dream bigger.  Dream bigger.”

At this time, she had five kids, no husband, living in poverty in a home infested by mice.

“Dream bigger.  Dream bigger,” she says again.

Finally, she finished, and I said, “Mom, are you ok? What was that?”

She replied, “The Holy Spirit was trying to get me to dream bigger.  I was repeating what He was telling me to repeat.  He kept saying, ‘Sandra, keep saying it, dream bigger.’  So I would dream about what would be possible with my five kids and he would say again, ‘No, dream bigger!’”

Every time she slammed her fist on the table and said, “Dream bigger,” she was increasing the borders of her belief.

She and I shared this story in my movie, The Domino Revival.  And in the movie, she looks into the camera and says, “If you are a single mother and you’re watching this movie, dream bigger.”

My mom was prophesying at that kitchen table so many decades ago.  I now pastor the fastest-growing church in America for the last five years in a row. She serves on the pastoral staff there.  She’s in a major motion picture.  My mom was just like Abraham.  She said, “I’m going into a place that I do not know, and I will not compromise. I’m not accepting just good when God has greatness inside of me.”

It isn’t your power.  It’s God’s power.  It’s not your anointing, it’s God’s anointing.  It’s not your provision, it’s His provision.  You’re not dreaming with your resources. You’re dreaming with His. You can’t get it done with your bank account, but His bank account can get it done.  You can’t get it done with your relationships, but He’s got the relationships to connect you to bigger things.

Acts 7:2-4

Brothers and fathers, hear me. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran, and said to him, ‘Go out from your land and from your kindred and go into the land that I will show you.’ Then he went out from the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran. And after his father died, God removed him from there into this land in which you are now living.

The Bible says the glory of the Lord appeared to Abraham. If you want God to appear in your life, I dare you to go a direction no one else has gone. I dare you to step all the way in. I dare you to dream bigger because it provokes God for visitations. You get a visitation when there’s a big assignment.

Provoking the Supernatural

When I first moved to New York City trying to plant our church, I got arrested on the George Washington Bridge. I was driving our box truck and was pulled over for a minor traffic infraction.  When the police ran my license, they found that there was an unpaid ticket on my record from New Jersey five years before for not having my headlights on during dusk.

So they arrested me and then when they found out what it was for, they laughed and I paid $90 and they let me out. However, as a result of this, my box truck got impounded.  I had to go through a bureaucratic process to get it out with all kinds of red tape to get through, and it was looking hopeless.  We were getting ready to have our first church service, and our entire church’s stuff was in this box truck, but, in addition to that, all of my family’s items were in it because I had sold my home.

I had given away a third of everything I owned to launch this church in New York City.  And so here I am like, “Lord, what did I do? I left normalcy. I’ve given I cashed out my retirement. I did everything I could to get to this one moment. And I have hundreds of people that are coming for this first service in New York City, one of the most godless places in the nation.”

I finally got all the paperwork in order and showed up to pick up the box truck the day before our church launch, and I arrived after hours because of traffic. The man says, “Listen, we’re supposed to be closed but I happen to be here doing other stuff. I’ll let you go in to get the box truck out.”

In New York, it is required to have license plates on the front and back of your vehicle, so I showed up with my screw gun and the plates.  I went to screw the plate into the bumper and realized I forgot the screws.  This was the straw that broke the camel’s back.  My thinking immediately spiraled.  “Now we can’t have church tomorrow.  I’m so frustrated.  I got arrested on the way here, I finally got all the issues squared away, and now I forgot the screws.  I gave you my life to start this church.  I moved all the way to New York to do what you called me to do.”  I was so frustrated.

Suddenly I heard a voice behind me say, “Hey, is this what you need?”  I turned around and this man had his hand open with two self-tapping screws in his palm. It was exactly what I needed!

I turned to screw in the license plate and thought, “Wait, that was rude of me.  I’m going to thank him.”  I turned around, and he was gone.  Then I was scared.  I was in New York City, alone, in a huge gated parking lot.  I went to the front desk and said, “Hey, where’s the guy who gave me these screws?” The person at the desk said, “Bro, are you out of your mind? No one else is here.”  It was then I realized that God sent an angel on assignment to give me the screws that I needed.

When you go to great lengths to do something for God, you will begin to provoke the supernatural, angelic visitation, and the glory of God. And so I screwed that plate in, and I drove away. That same weekend, I started V1 Church.  And as a result, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, and Jews have accepted Christ as Messiah.

Overcoming Generational Curses

Exodus 20:5

You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me.

Romans 5:18

Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.

Just by your one decision right now, how many people in your bloodline could be changed?  If you would stop being lukewarm and say, God, I want to be on fire for you, your family and friends would begin to get free from drugs, opiates, pornography, lust, and a poverty mindset.

Prayer

If you want to be like Abraham and Sarah, you want to dream bigger and be one of those people who goes all the way, pray this prayer:

Heavenly Father. I commit to your will and your ways. I will go where you tell me to go.  I will do what you tell me to do. I break all false idols now: every bit of vanity, every last bit of sin.  I confess and repent.  I break every band of wickedness, every remaining chain, and every generational curse.  It stops with me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

7 Do’s and 7 Dont’s of Prophetic Ministry (Breakers Challenge)

By | Gifts of the Spirit, The Breakers Challenge, The Holy Spirit, The Prophetic | No Comments

Many Christians have been hurt by bad prophetic words.  Many have even left the faith altogether as a result of being in toxic, charismatic churches. Alternately, many other people have also been tremendously helped and even guided by powerful prophetic words. So how do you ensure that the prophetic words you give are helpful and not hurtful?

Here are 7 do’s and 7 dont’s of prophetic ministry that can help you as you move in prophetic ministry.

7 Do’s of Prophetic Ministry

1. Do encourage, edify, exhort, and comfort others through your prophetic word.

1 Corinthians 14:2-4 (ESV)

For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.  On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.  The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.

This sounds basic but so many people do the opposite of this.  New Testment prophecy is to encourage.

2. Do read your Bible.

Read your bibleI have heard countless prophetic people say, “I’m waiting on a word from the Lord.”  Open your Bible. You’ll get one immediately. Many people want the rhema  word of God to the detriment of the logos word of God. So, read your Bible.

When you read Genesis through Revelation, you get an insight into the character of God.

I spend so much time with my wife that if someone told me my wife said something, I could judge it and say either, “Well, I know her character.  She didn’t say that,” or, “Yeah, that sounds just like her.”  When you read the Bible, you know what God sounds like.

3. Do allow a senior pastor to cover you.

Those who are in authority must be under authority.  Just because you were hurt by a covering doesn’t mean you can’t now be protected by a covering.  Just because a covering misunderstood, ostracized, and gossiped about you doesn’t mean God can’t give you a covering

that will lift you up, encourage you, and give you direction.  Your covering can give you a platform, influence, greater insights, and care for you.  But you have to be under authority if you are to be in authority.  That’s God’s plan. If you’re wondering what’s your next level, but covering is missing from your life because you’re a rogue prophet, your next level is coming under a covering.

4. Do speak the truth in love.

Prophecy should be rooted in love. Because I have two daughters, I often ask myself,  am I disciplining them out of anger in response to what they’ve done? Or am I trying to increase their wisdom and raise them up? Is this discipline I’m giving bringing them to a place of maturity?

God does not give you discernment to increase your criticism, He gives it to increase your accuracy. Prophets see much in the spiritual realm that it can create anger.  So make sure your prophecy is rooted in love and not anger or criticism.

5. Do exactly what the Holy Spirit instructs you to do.

Prophecy is delivered to your spirit and mind before it goes out of your mouth.  There can be a temptation to change the words or deliver it differently than your receive it.  Do exactly what the Holy Spirit instructs you to do.

6. Do use prophecy to guide others into the Lord’s will.

Boy reading mapJesus constantly revealed the will of His Father. When you prophesy, don’t try to help people fulfill their will. Use prophecy to fulfill God’s will.  You’re going to feel a temptation, especially when God uses you to prophesy to renowned famous, or well-know people.  You’ll feel the pull to ask, “Okay God, how do I help them fulfill their will?”  But no! Prophesy so that you can help people concerning the Lord’s will.

7. Do prophesy to point others to Jesus Christ, not yourself.

I know it sounds basic, but if you’re operating in supernatural ministry, there can be a temptation to absorb glory instead of deflect it to the Lord.  But the secret to elevating it to higher dimensions of influence is deflecting more and more to the Lord.  Glory should come through you, not to you.  Be a conduit for glory that deflects back to Jesus, not an absorber of glory.   I’ve seen people start so well, but then money starts flowing into their cash app, Venmo, and PayPal.  Then they start getting invited into green rooms and it perverts the prophetic in their life.

7 Dont’s of Prophetic Ministry

1. Don’t say “Thus sayeth the Lord” just because they did it in your storefront Pentecostal church.

I was raised in that same kind of church. But it doesn’t mean that we need to put “Thus saith the Lord”  Why? Because sometimes, you’re going to miss it.  You won’t always be 100% accurate.

That phrase was used in Old Testament times for the prophets to identify whose god they were speaking on behalf of. New Testament prophets don’t have to do that anymore  (Jeremiah Johnson talks about the difference in Old Testament and New Testament prophecy at length in my interview with him, which you can check out here.)

2. Don’t always prophesy doom and gloom.

God may use you to do a future foretelling prophecy.  And many significant prophetic voices have warned of economic downturns or war, and have been accurate. But if your prophecy is primarily doom and gloom, you don’t have a revelation that whenever there is a Goliath, there’s going to be a prophetic David. Whenever there’s a famine, there’s going to be a prophetic Joseph sitting on the pile of grain to distribute to a nation.  God always fights a spirit with an opposite spirit. Don’t constantly prophesy doom and gloom.

3. Don’t spend a lot of time in dialogue before and during prophetic ministry.

It poisons the well.  Let me explain.  You don’t want to prophesy 30% from the things you’ve learned from your conversation and 70% from the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, the more information you take in in the natural realm, the harder it is to enter to the spiritual realm.  Oftentimes I will limit my conversations with people before and during prophetic ministry to help keep the ministry pure.

4. Don’t ever use prophecy to control other people.

Puppet on a stringFeel free to send the link to this blog to anyone you know who is doing that! Even if you think that what you’re saying is right and they need it, just call it a teaching, not prophecy.

If what you’re saying is beneficial and going to bring correction, call it a pastoral counseling session. Call it a teaching, call it advice, but don’t call it prophecy.

5. Don’t release a word if you are a people pleaser.

If you want people to like you, don’t become a prophet.  At one point my life, I prophesied a word and was ostracized by an entire church. Nobody agreed with me. Nobody believed me. They all thought I lost my mind. They all thought I was lying. And it wasn’t until about two years later when the word came to pass that then I was elevated into a higher level of respect. But there was a duration of time where the people closest to me thought I was crazy.

So if you struggle with people pleasing, go before God and say, “Lord, I want to learn the fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom, but the fear of man is the beginning of foolishness.”

6.  Don’t prophesy when you’re very tired.

This is important, because when you’re exhausted, you will have a tendency to speak out of emotion.  Elijah was chased in a brutal attack by Jezebel (Jezebel will always attack prophets) and then had ministering angels that fed him as he prepared to sleep.  You have to learn how to rest and recharge because if you minister out of that exhaustion, you will speak out of emotion, which is your soul, instead of speaking out of your spirit in conjunction with the Holy Spirit,

7.  Don’t give directive words about marriage, pregnancy, or moving across the country.

Pregnant woman

You have a 50% chance of knowing what gender the child is going to be.  And if you guessed the last three times correctly, you still had a 50% chance. Medical science will give us the true answer.  We don’t need you to prophesy.

Here’s the thing about prophecies about who to marry.  People don’t need you to prophesy about whether or not they should marry that person – they need premarital counseling.  I counsel marriages, and even if you are a perfect match with someone, you’re going to need a lot of Christian counseling, healthy relationship skills, and wisdom to survive marriage.  It’s not about choosing the right person, it’s about becoming the right person. So stop with this foolishness. Stop giving people directive words and give them biblical wisdom that teaches them how to be the right person.  Because becoming the right person God’s called them to be will actually help them for the rest of their life.

Here’s a little caveat: If you are very confident that the Lord has released you to do so, then you can give a directive word.  I have given directive words that have been accurate and helped people.  But do this with extreme caution.

By following these 7 Dos and 7 Dont’s of Prophetic Ministry, I pray you can grow in confidence as you move in prophetic ministry.
