Disruption Is Not Destruction: A September Prophetic Word

I want to give you a September prophetic word that I believe carries real weight for what is coming this fall. I did not arrive at this casually. I came off a fast, spent hours in the scriptures, and took pages of notes as I sought the Lord for what He wanted to say to His people right now. Scripture tells us plainly in 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21, "Do not despise prophecies, but test everything and hold fast to what is good."
That is exactly what I am asking you to do with everything I share here. Test it against the word of God. Hold on to what is good. Some of what follows is prediction, drawn from what I am watching happen in technology, medicine, and culture. Some of it is prophecy, something I believe the Holy Spirit specifically wants to release. Both matter, and I want to walk you through them together.
Why a Prophetic Word for September Right Now
There is a reason the timing of this word matters. 1 Chronicles 12:32 describes the sons of Issachar as men who understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do. I believe God is raising up that same kind of discernment in His church again, and September sits at the front of a season that stretches into October and November.
Consider what is already unfolding. Google has said its newest AI models are roughly 300 times more efficient than what existed just two years ago. The World Economic Forum estimates that by 2030, 92 million jobs could be displaced by this shift. On the medical side, the FDA approved 46 new drugs in 2025 alone, and gene therapy is moving medicine from simply managing symptoms toward genuinely curing conditions that had no cure before. I have watched this firsthand. A founding member of my church died of sickle cell disease years ago, and now children are receiving gene therapy that leaves them pain free.
None of this should frighten you. Disruption is not destruction.
Living in the Time Before the Time
I keep coming back to a phrase the Lord gave me: the time before the time. We are living in a window where technology, medicine, and opportunity are accelerating, but the full weight of what scripture calls the days of Noah has not yet arrived. That means there is still time to build, to heal, and to prepare.
Yes, artificial intelligence may change or even eliminate your current job. That is a real possibility, and I will not pretend otherwise. But being displaced from a career is not the same as being destroyed. Some of you are being moved from a career into a calling, and the Lord is going to replace what AI takes with something that only He could have designed for you. Proverbs 25:2 says it is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search them out. You have been positioned as royal priesthood for exactly this moment, able to search out what has been hidden and build what has never existed before.
Ephesians 5:15 instructs us to walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil. That word applies directly to this September prophetic word. Something that once took years to build can now take months. Something that took months can take weeks. Walk in wisdom, and redeem what technology is putting in front of you.
Three Groups This September Prophetic Word Is For
As I sought the Lord, three distinct groups came into focus. I believe most of you reading this will recognize yourself in one of them.
The disrupted. Your role is shifting, and it may feel unsettling. Do not build your identity around a title, because that title might belong to a system that is passing away. Instead ask God what He is preparing you to become. This is not proof of abandonment. It is preparation for something you cannot yet see.
Those receiving unusual ideas. Some of you have had dreams or ideas that do not resemble anything you have done before, and you have been dismissing them. Stop. Habakkuk 2:2 tells us to write the vision down and make it plain. Test what you receive against scripture, seek wise counsel, and take the smallest step of obedience. The strategy often arrives before the resources do, because God is not assessing your bank account. He is assessing your obedience.
Those who feel behind. You are not too old, and you are not too late. Joel 2:25 promises that God will restore the years the locusts have eaten. Joshua watched the sun stand still so Israel could win a battle that should have been impossible by natural timing. God can do the same for you in a battle with your health, your finances, or your family.
Ten Things God Is Asking You to Do Before October
I believe the Lord gave me ten specific instructions for His people this month, and I want to lay them out simply.
Consecrate. Remove the distractions that are clouding your discernment right now.
Document the dreams, burdens, and ideas He has been giving you, because Habakkuk's command to write the vision down still applies today.
Educate yourself, because there are things you cannot walk into until you grow into them first.
Evaluate which relationships and habits are draining you and which ones God is asking you to release before the change is forced on you.
Innovate by asking what problem your life is uniquely positioned to solve.
Connect with people who believe in the gifts of the Spirit and in genuine discipleship, and let go of relationships that were only ever seasonal.
Create what God has placed inside you rather than waiting for it to be perfect.
Save, because opportunities are coming that will require resources you do not currently have set aside.
Give, even when you cannot see exactly why yet, because a river that stops flowing turns stagnant.
Finally, test everything. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. Not everyone who claims to speak for God is doing so, and not every wound you carry is discernment. Sometimes it is simply fear dressed up as caution. Learn the difference.
Why I Wrote The Unoffendable Heart
Here is what I have watched happen over and over in ministry. God gives someone a genuine gift, a real opportunity, or real success, and their heart cannot sustain what their hands were able to build. Success exposes what was already there. It does not create bitterness or offense, it simply reveals it.
Hebrews 12:26-27 describes a shaking, not only of the earth but of the heavens, so that what cannot be shaken will remain. That shaking is coming for all of us this fall, and I do not want you to go into it carrying old wounds, unresolved offense, or a heart that has learned to stay small so it will not be disappointed again.
