Breaking Free from Witchcraft: A Former Witch's Warning to the Church

I recently sat down with Apostle Jenny Weaver, a former witch turned global voice for the gospel, to discuss something most churches refuse to address. Her story is not just shocking but necessary for every believer to hear. The Viral Deception Targeting Your Children
Scroll through TikTok for five minutes and you'll find it. Hashtags like #WitchTok and #NewAge are exploding with millions of views. Videos titled "Signs You're a Natural Born Witch" are going viral while churches across America are dying. Young girls are being told they have special powers, that they're intuitive, that they need to develop their gifts.
This is not innocent content. This is grooming.
Jenny explained how the enemy operates: "The devil has rebranded witchcraft a hundred different ways." It appears as manifesting your destiny, good vibes, healing crystals, chakra healing, protection spells, and even astrology. Parents think their teens are just exploring spirituality, but demons are discipling an entire generation through smartphones and tablets.
At our V1 Church campuses, we've discovered menstruation blood rituals with pentagrams drawn on our lawns. Hexes and curses have been scrawled across our parking lots. This is the reality of spiritual warfare in 2025, and the church must wake up.
How Witchcraft Lures You In
Jenny's testimony reveals the pattern of demonic deception. Raised in a Christian home, she began rebelling in high school after watching the movie "The Craft" in 1996. What seemed like teenage curiosity became a blood ritual when she and her friends tattooed themselves with Indian ink and needles, imitating the film.
"I'm thinking in the beginning, this is just good energy, positive vibes, just the earth," Jenny shared. "What can be wrong with plants? That's how the enemy deceived me because it was subtle things actually very similar to creation and God."
This is critical to understand. Breaking free from witchcraft begins with recognizing how it enters your life. The occult never announces itself as evil. It masquerades as enlightenment, empowerment, and connection to nature.
Jenny progressed from researching Wiccan spells at the library to living with a practicing witch. They smudged houses with sage, cast protection spells, and deliberately invoked spirits they believed were gods and goddesses. "We would purposely take drugs and sit around and try to invoke spirits to come into us, to give us information, power, answers."
The supernatural manifestations were real. Lights would physically explode. Drawers opened before she touched them. She experienced genuine demonic power, but it came with a horrifying price.
The Trap: When Power Becomes Prison
Here's what every person experimenting with the occult needs to know: demons will cooperate at first to lure you deeper.
"The very beginning you will see results," Jenny warned. "Someone does chakra healing and their stomach feels better, that shoulder pain's gone, they feel lighter. Demons are going to cooperate to make things happen, to lure you in. It's the hook in your mouth, and then they pull you in deeper and then they don't let go."
Jenny described living in constant torment. Scratching on walls. Knocking on the headboard. Overwhelming fear. The spells stopped working. The practices that once seemed empowering became a haunted house she couldn't escape.
She was eventually terrified out of active witchcraft practice, but that wasn't the end. For nine more years, she battled drug addiction, sexual perversion, and demonic oppression. Even though she stopped casting spells, the roots remained embedded in her soul.
"I still had several years out in drugs and on the streets," she explained. "Even though I got out of witchcraft, I was still opening myself up to witchcraft in drugs. That thing was rooted in me. It had to be uprooted."
Deliverance: The Path to True Freedom
Jenny's breakthrough came when she cried out to Jesus while pregnant, addicted to meth and heroin, homeless and broken. "Jesus, help me. God help me. I need help," she prayed. That's when the Lord radically saved her and began the process of deliverance.
Breaking free from witchcraft requires more than stopping the practices. It demands genuine repentance and deliverance from demonic spirits that have gained legal access to your life.
The Bible is clear: "He has given us all power over the works of darkness" (Luke 10:19). Satan and demons have real power, but as Christians, we have all power over their power. The question is whether we'll use our authority.
